2 <br />THE CITY OF <br />"""`'=�'=' w '"° CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />June 21, 2022 <br />City Manager <br />City Clerk <br />TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />TO BE HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2022; A RESOLUTION <br />REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL <br />ELECTION; AND A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE SUBMISSION OF <br />CANDIDATE STATEMENTS <br />SUMMARY <br />The purpose of the November 2022 election is to elect a Mayor for a two-year term and <br />two members of the City Council from Districts 1 and 3, each for a four-year term. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution calling for a General Municipal Election to be held Tuesday, <br />November 8, 2022, for the purpose of electing a Mayor for a two-year term and two <br />members of the City Council from Districts 1 and 3, each for a four-year term; a <br />resolution requesting that the County of Alameda Board of Supervisors consent to <br />consolidation of the General Municipal Election with the Statewide General Election; <br />and a resolution adopting regulations pertaining to candidate statements. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Funding is allocated in the Fiscal Year 2022/23 Operating Budget. <br />
