SR 84/I-580 INTERCHANGE <br />TVTC Project Sponsor: City of Livermore <br />Lead Agency: Caltrans and City of Livermore <br />Project Description: Project A-2b is located in Livermore, at the intersection of I-580 and Isabel Avenue <br />including Portal Avenue. <br />The project consists of two phases: <br />• Phase 1 – The Isabel Avenue Interchange project which included replacing the I-580/Portola <br />Avenue interchange with the I-580/Isabel Avenue-SR 84 interchange. Phase I also included <br />realignment of Isabel Avenue and the realignment and extension of Portola Avenue from East <br />Airway Boulevard to Isabel Avenue. <br />• Phase 2 – The ultimate improvements at the I-580/Isabel Avenue-SR 84 Interchange are to provide <br />six lanes over I-580 at the Isabel Avenue-SR 84 Interchange and four lanes over I-580 at the Portola <br />Avenue overcrossing. <br />Status: A programmatic environmental assessment and right-of-way acquisition is complete.
