Notable adjustments in CIP
The CIP proposes the addition of two new necessary projects as described in Table 1 of
Section II of the Mid Term budget document. Additional funding for three existing CIP
projects is also proposed as described Table in 2c.
Based on discussion at the Special City Council meeting held on April 12, 2022,
regarding prioritizing funding for several competing capital priorities, staff has attempted
to capture the consensus of the majority of the City Council on adjustments to the CIP
related to those major capital projects. Staff is proposing to add $3 million to the
Skatepark project (approximately half of what will be needed for a project as revised per
Council direction); $250,000 to the Cricket Pitch and Field which would provide full
funding for conversion of an existing sports field; $2.5 million to the West Las Positas
Boulevard project (which will provide approximately 84 percent of the anticipated
necessary General Fund contributions to the project); approximately $3.1 million to the
Library roof and Library lighting projects, which will fully fund those projects; and $1.7
million to the Century House project. Table 2c. in Section II of the Mid-Term budget
document reflects these recommendations and how future year contributions could fully
fund those projects which are not yet receiving full funding.
Submitted by: Approved by:
i'n Shah Brian Dolan
Interim Finance Director Assistant City Manager
Attachment.-
1.
ttachment:1.
