THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON. <br />15 <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />May 17, 2022 <br />Human Resources <br />TITLE: APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH RENNE <br />PUBLIC LAW GROUP, LLP FOR LEGAL SERVICES RELATED TO <br />LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT <br />SUMMARY <br />The City requires specialized legal expertise for general advice, representation in <br />administrative proceedings, and other legal work in the area of labor and employment <br />on an as -needed basis. The Renne Public Law Group LLP has such expertise and the <br />needed experience, and has previously provided services to the City of Pleasanton. <br />Staff is recommending to continue working with the Renne Public Law Group through a <br />Professional Services Agreement in a total amount not to exceed $500,000 over the <br />three-year term of the contract which would expire on December 31, 2024. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Renne <br />Public Law Group LLP in an amount not to exceed $500,000 over the three-year term of <br />the contract. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The not to exceed total cost of this Professional Services Agreement is $500,000 over <br />the two-year term of the contract which is included in the City Attorney's budget. <br />
