Deputy City Manager Pamela Ott confirmed the EVC will be considering the framework of a parklet <br /> grant program. She advised staff hopes to be able to bring it to the City Council at the next meeting. <br /> Interim City Manager Dolan clarified it will be at one of the February meetings because the continuation <br /> of the Housing Element discussion may impact plans. <br /> Mayor Brown confirmed there were five votes in favor of a parklet grant program. <br /> Councilmember Arkin advised time is of the essence with the parklets if designs are currently being <br /> made so she encouraged getting it into the next meeting. <br /> Councilmember Balch requested staff inform the City Council when the parklet design review process <br /> opens. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Narum reported on updates from Valley Link initiating the National Environmental <br /> Policy Act (NEPA) review process, the federal version of CEQA, which is required for the federal <br /> funding LAVTA is seeking. <br /> Mayor Brown reported she is meeting with Congressman Eric Swalwell tomorrow to request funds for <br /> Valley Link. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Councilmember Balch adjourned the regular meeting at 11:39 p.m., with a tribute to men and women <br /> serving in the military, honoring the memories of those who have died in defense of our country. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Jocelyn Kwong <br /> City Clerk . <br /> City Council Minutes Page 17 of 17 January 18, 2022 <br />
