Housing Commission reviewed applications which were housing-related and were <br /> eligible for funding from the City's LIHF and federal HOME funds. <br /> The Civic Arts Commission reviewed and provided recommendations for programs for <br /> arts/cultural activities for Pleasanton residents, received a total funding request of <br /> $57,150 and recommended $41,000. The Youth Commission reviewed and provided <br /> recommendations for youth related programs and educational opportunities in <br /> Pleasanton, receiving a total funding request of $41,500 and recommending $40,000. <br /> For many years the City has allocated $80,000 annually to fund $40,000 for Civic Arts <br /> and $40,000 for Youth services. This year, as in some other years, there are unspent <br /> funds from prior years, enabling the Civic Arts Commission to recommend over $40,000. <br /> Community grant awards are typically limited to a maximum of $7,500 for each individual <br /> grant. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Table 2 summarizes the composite level of funding available for the FY 2022 HHSG program. <br /> Table 2 <br /> FY 2022/23 HHSG Funding Available <br /> FY <br /> Source 2022 Notes <br /> Funding <br /> CDBG: The CDBG Entitlement amount for FY 2022/23 is$368,304. The funds <br /> Capital Project $239,223 allocated for Capital Projects is$239,223, which includes the Section 108 Loan <br /> Public Services 55,205 repayment of$24,749 for the Axis Community Health clinic rehabilitation project <br /> Administration 73,606 in 2015. Funds allocated for public services total$55,205, which is within the <br /> 15%cap for public services. Funds allocated for administration total $73,606, <br /> which is within the 20%cap for program administration. <br /> City General 223,528 $223,528 is the original amount allocated resulting from an increase from last <br /> Fund Human year's allocation based on a 0.80% increase in the City's General Fund, per <br /> Services policy adopted in 2009. $35,000 of the$223,528 is approved for the youth <br /> behavioral health services provided to Axis Community Health. <br /> HOME: The HOME Program allocation for FY 2022/23 is$125,935. $118,701, will be <br /> Activities 118,701 allocated to HOME-eligible activities while$7,324(5%) will be allocated for <br /> Administration 7,234 administration. <br /> LIHF 386,299 $386,299 is the amount originally recommended to be allocated to the agencies. <br /> Total $1,103,796 <br /> Human Services Grants <br /> The City has allocated General Fund money to support the provision of important human <br /> services in Pleasanton. This allocation provided annually for the Human Services Grants is <br /> normally based on a policy adopted by the City Council in 2009 and increases/decreases <br /> funding based on the percentage increase/decrease of the City's General Fund from the prior <br /> year.
