THE CITY OF 1 Oa <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> May 3, 2022 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE ALLOCATION OF HOUSING AND HUMAN SERVICES <br /> GRANT AND COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2022 GRANT FUNDING CYCLE (CITY FY 2022/23) <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The FY 2022/23 Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) program received twenty- <br /> eight (28) applications for funding from a wide range of agencies serving a variety of <br /> community needs. The HHSG program distributes funding from the federal Community <br /> Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and HOME Investment Partnership Program <br /> (HOME), the City's Lower Income Housing Funds (LIHF), and the City's General Fund. <br /> The Community Grant (CG) program received fourteen (14) applications serving the <br /> arts/culture and youth categories. This report summarizes the applications that were <br /> received for the HHSG and CG programs and provides a funding recommendation from <br /> the respective program advisory commissions and Staff to allocate funds for the fiscal <br /> year beginning July 1, 2022. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Staff recommends the City Council allocate $591,562 from the sources listed below <br /> to fund the applications reviewed by the Human Services Commission as presented <br /> in Table A of the draft Resolution. <br /> General Fund $223,528 <br /> CDBG Administration 73,606 <br /> CDBG Capital 239,223 <br /> CDBG Public Services 55,205 <br /> TOTAL $591,562 <br /> 2. As recommended by the Housing Commission allocate $512,234 to housing related <br /> projects as listed in Table A of the draft Resolution. <br /> Lower Income Housing Fund $386,299 <br /> HOME Fund 125,935 <br /> TOTAL $512,234 <br /> 3. As recommended by the Civic Arts and Youth Commissions, allocate $81,000 in CG <br /> funds as listed in Table B of the draft Resolution. <br />
