• <br /> ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> THIS EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT is made on April 19, 2022,between the City of <br /> Pleasanton ("City")and Girard "Gerry"Beaudin ("Beaudin")concerning the City's employment <br /> of Beaudin as the City's City Manager. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. Beaudin has education,training, and experience in local government management. <br /> B. City desires to employ Beaudin as the City's City Manager. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions in this <br /> Agreement, City and Beaudin agree as follows: <br /> 1. Employment. City shall employ Beaudin as the City Manager of the City of <br /> Pleasanton as provided in this Contract, effective May 23, 2022. <br /> 2. Duties. Beaudin shall perform the duties of the City Manager of the City of <br /> Pleasanton, including administering the day-to-day affairs of the City at City Hall or other City <br /> facilities,and shall perform such other functions as are authorized by the City Council and by <br /> ordinance. <br /> 3. Hours of Work. Beaudin shall be an exempt employee under Fair Labor Standards <br /> Act(FLSA). Beaudin is expected to devote necessary time outside normal office hours to the <br /> business of the City. Beaudin's schedule of work each day and week may vary in response to the <br /> requirements of the work to be performed. Beaudin is expected to be present and available <br /> during regular City business hours and in case of emergencies at Pleasanton City Hall or other <br /> City facilities to perform his duties. <br /> 4. Compensation. The annual salary for Beaudin shall be $280,000. <br /> 5. Benefits. Except as provided in this Contract, City shall provide the same <br /> benefits(e.g.,medical,retirement medical insurance, dental, leave,holidays etc.)to Beaudin as <br /> City provides to other management employees as set forth in the City's <br /> Management/Confidential Employee Performance Compensation Plan 2018 (Management <br /> Compensation Plan)as the Management Compensation Plan. These policies may be modified by <br /> the City Council in the future. In addition,upon beginning employment with the City,Beaudin <br /> shall be allotted 5 days of sick leave,which are not entitled to be sold back for compensation. <br />
