I vehemently oppose this plan. Muirwood Park is a neighborhood park that should be kept for the benefit of all people wishing to enjoy the park. The City has gone to great lengths to provide sport facilities around town, and my opinion is that Upper Bernal would be a much more logical location for a cricket field (in between the two softball fields). If Upper Bernal does not work than certainly there could be room made at the Ken Mercer Sports Fields (down my fields 10-11 or 12). Please make the necessary changes to ensure that Muirwood Park stays open to our community and is not dedicated as a cricket field. Adult sports fields should take place at appropriate venues (like Upper Bernal, the Sports Park, and Patelco fields), I understand the multi -use need for youth sports but that is for a different purpose.
