10. Consider Partnerships with Key Local_ Employers. The City could foster <br />partnerships with local employers, such as PUSD or Valley Care, to better <br />support workforce housing for employees of these organizations. Staff <br />recommends strengthening existing policy language in the Housing Element to <br />place more emphasis on this idea, and more aggressively pursue such <br />partnerships, including with PUSD. <br />Planning Commission. The Planning Commission was supportive of this idea. <br />Housing Commission. The Housing -Commission was also supportive of forming <br />partnerships. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />This item was identified in the Pleasanton Weekly's "Agenda Highlights" for upcoming <br />public meetings, and an email notification was sent to all interested parties who have <br />signed up on the Housing Element website: pleasantonhousing element. com. <br />Comments received to -date regarding policy topics for the Housing Element are <br />enclosed as Attachment 7 to this agenda report. <br />CONCLUSION <br />The policy topics for discussion at this meeting provide an opportunity for focused <br />discussion about possible implementation measures in the Housing Element.
