In response to Mayor Brown, Councilmember Balch agreed they will know more after the presentation <br /> on Friday. <br /> Councilmember Arkin asked for support in bringing forth a resolution opposing Senate Bills 9 and 10. <br /> Councilmember Testa stated it will be discussed at a liaison committee meeting on Thursday and their <br /> recommendation will come to City Council through herself and Councilmember Narum. She advised <br /> staff's recommendation is to not support the resolution. <br /> CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Testa commended the Hometown Holiday Parade for its fun and its large turnout. She <br /> lauded all involved. Mayor Brown expressed her pleasure at having hundreds of volunteers. <br /> Mayor Brown reported the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) Wheels buses that <br /> provide regional paratransit service do not have easy access to Contra Costa County. She reported <br /> they have piloted a program where Wheels is going into Contra Costa County that is the first of its kind <br /> in the region. <br /> Councilmember Narum reported the LAVTA Board delayed the rate increase for senior citizens and <br /> disabled monthly passes for a year, along with the dial-a-ride paratransit fare: She_ reported the <br /> financial audit for Valley Link was approved. She attendance at the Water Liaison Committee meeting <br /> with Mayor Brown working on water and sewer rates. <br /> Councilmember Arkin reported enjoying the cricket tournament and parade.
