From: Sachiko Riddle
To. Sachiko Riddle
Subject: FW: Planning division -P20-1053
Date: Tuesday, December 7, 2021 10:00:49 AM
From: R Cruz >
Sent: Monday, December 6, 20218:38 PM
To: Megan Campbell <rncam bele IPcityofpleasantooca.goy>
Subject: Re: Planning division -P20-1053
Hi Megan,
Here's my updated note. Thank you!
Hello,
SUpp{ AMENTAL MATERIA_
Provided to the Planning Commisslon
After DistribLAon of Packet
Date Distributed: 12/7/2021 SR
I'm writing in regards to the notice I received in the mail regarding the
Application for Design Review to construct a new 2 story residential unit on 218
Ray Street.
As a resident of Walnut Drive, just across the street, I'm concerned that the new
unit will take up the already too small parking lot for the dental business. Their
patrons and employees are parking on our street daily (which is a permit only
street due to this as a former problem). I'm curious how many parking spots they
have now, and how many they will have after the residential unit is built? Ray
street is full to the max with parked cars each day. The plaza next door to them is
also full every day and they are not allowed to park there (although they
always do and that is causing problems too). They are spilling onto our very
small street. It makes it very difficult to turn into and out of our court. When
there are cars parked on both sides I doubt a fire engine could even make the turn
onto our street.
I am happy to send photos if needed.
Update: Through conversations with the city, I've since learned that the same
number of spots will be available, which is not enough. Building a residence will
require 2 more spots, but there will not be enough to solve these parking issues.
Since the building is not on Walnut Drive, I do not think the owner should be
allowed to get permits to park on our street, since he is not a resident of Walnut
Drive. Please add this stipulation in the proposal.
Thank you for your consideration.
Robin Cruz
- Walnut Drive
Pleasanton, CA
