All <br />exterior portions of buildings must be within 200 feet of an access road. Yard <br />and parking area may be able to be located farther than 200 feet from access <br />roads, depending on the specific use. <br /> <br />101. FIRE VEHICLE TURNAROUNDS: Where Fire Department vehicle access <br />through or around a site involves changes in direction or curves, inside radius of <br />45 feet and outside radius of 55 feet shall be provided to facilitate fire truck <br />turning radius for entry and exit from the site. Dead-end access ways and <br />internal drives shall not exceed 300 feet in length and shall terminate in cul-de- <br />sacs no less than 96 feet in diameter or hammer-head (tee). Standards and <br />options are available through the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Fire <br />Prevention Bureau. <br /> <br />102. PREMISES IDENTIFICATION: Address numbers shall be installed on the front <br />or primary entrance for all buildings. Minimum building address character size <br />shall be 12-inch high by 1-inch stroke. In all cases address numerals shall be of <br />contrasting background and clearly visible in accordance with the Livermore- <br />Pleasanton Fire Department Premises Identification Standards. This may <br />warrant field verification and adjustments based upon topography, landscaping <br />or other obstructions. <br /> <br />103. RESIDENTIAL – NEW CONSTRUCTION: The following items shall be provided <br />prior to any construction above the foundation or slab. <br /> <br />a. Emergency vehicle access shall be provided to the site (tract), including <br />areas where construction is occurring. <br />b. Designated construction material storage and construction worker <br />parking shall not obstruct the emergency vehicle access route(s). <br />c. On-site fire hydrants shall be in service. Fire hydrants shall be flushed <br />and all valves open. <br /> <br />104. FINAL INSPECTION: Prior to request for final inspection, all access roads, on- <br />site access and fire hydrants shall be provided.
