Building Design <br />The proposed single -story residence's design and style include materials, detailing, and colors <br />of high quality that are aesthetically pleasing, and are harmonious with and complement the <br />character of the neighborhood (see Figure 5). The applicant has provided a well-designed <br />structure through various roof forms, the use of stucco and stone veneer, and recessed window <br />treatments on all building elevations which are appropriate for the neighborhood and provide <br />sufficient visual interest from the street. The proposed colors complement the existing homes in <br />the area and the mix of natural tones in the vicinity. As proposed, the home would measure <br />approximately 19 feet in height (measured from grade to the highest point of the structure) and <br />would be compatible with the one- and two-story homes in the area. Overall, staff finds the <br />architectural style of the building to be attractive and appropriate for the neighborhood.
