1
Jennifer Hagen
From:
Sent:Tuesday, January 18, 2022 11:14 AM
To:Jennifer Hagen
Subject:The proposed affordable housing complex at the Tri-Valley Inn property
Jennifer,

My wife and I reside at Pleasanton and actively oppose any construction and
rezoning for affordable housing units at the current property of the Tri-Valley Inn. We live in the bulb-
end of our court which is very near where these proposed units have been suggested by the City of
Pleasanton. We have lived here for over 34 years. Any building of such units will change the
dynamics, view, and the property value lowering of our homes in this area. We are highly aware that
the City of Pleasanton is under the gun of the State again to build more affordable housing in our
city. To rezone this area for multi-dwelling housing of any type and stray away from adding more
needed retail space for small businesses is not a good long-term plan. Small businesses have a hard
time of establishing themselves in our city because of a lack of retail space and the City needs to help
them out to stay and or to come here. Those many businesses in that immediate area do high
volume of business which brings in a lot of taxable income to the City of Pleasanton and by adding
more additional space for those type of businesses by not having to rezone to do so would increase
City revenue and also revenue for small businesses that Pleasanton so badly needs to maintain and
add.

Respectfully submitted,

Robert and Sandra Willett

PLeasanton

Click here to report this email as spam.
