1
Jennifer Hagen
From:
Sent:Tuesday, January 18, 2022 12:11 PM
To:Jennifer Hagen
Subject:Site Inventory - Lester Property
Hello Ms. Hagen, I'd like to share some thoughts with you and the City Council. I know that at some point the plan
for the Lester property will raise its head again; however, I thought I'd try to make myself heard at this stage, during
this particular and important process. I appreciate the opportunity.

Obviously, it is a proposed hillside development, which everyone knows and the City report made abundantly clear,
will require not only annexing land currently outside Pleasanton, but significant grading and shaving of the hillsides.
It will destroy one of the very view remaining truly beautiful viewpoints in our City, where many people -- and not just
the adjoining longtime homeowners -- visit and come to look at the lovely, unspoiled hillsides. The proposed
development will be a terrible step towards the "Dublinizing" of Pleasanton, despite the clearly and often stated
desires of Pleasanton's residents to leave the hills alone, simply to add more multi-million dollar homes and
appease developers.

If this project must proceed to further discussion in order to satisfy developers, please, please, please keep in mind
that there is no additional water available in Pleasanton, the hillsides really should be protected, and the number of
houses allowed, if any, must be reduced to only those that do not require grading and destroying the hillsides
themselves as well as the views so valuable to the rest of us! The residents of Pleasanton have made it clear many
times, leave the hillsides alone. Please!

Wishing you all stay safe and well,
Andrew Gelb

Sent with ProtonMail Secure Email.

Click here to report this email as spam.
