These properties ,once a lumberyard, were developed in the 70's as a neighborhood shopping center at a time when small retailers were able to thrive, which is much different in today's online environment. Another reason for consideration is Valley Plaza scored near the top of the Preliminary Site Inventory list for its location near schools , transportation and shopping .The property owner's wish to put forth the following proposal for consideration: 1. Mixed use project allowing 10 to 20 units per acre of housing along with horizontal retail. The three out parcels (Kentucky Fried Chicken, Jack in the Box and Hunan Chef ) will remain along with the businesses in the mixed-use portion of the development. This will allow some existing tenants to relocate and remain onsite. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
