ST E E L W A V E <br />• 1996: The City's 1996 General Plan called for development of the EPSP. <br />0 1998-99: Although the City initiated the EPSP process in 1998, it stopped work on <br />the plan in 1999.1 <br />• 2009: The City again committed to the EPSP planning process in 2009 with <br />adoption of its current General Plan, which calls for an East Pleasanton Specific <br />Plan "in order to evaluate land use options and to provide detailed planning <br />guidance in an area undergoing land -use transition .112 <br />0 2011: The City delayed work on the EPSP to complete its Housing Element <br />Update. Land within the EPSP was specifically excluded from the Update process <br />so it could be addressed separately through the EPSP Planning Process. <br />• 2012: The City established an 18 -member EPSP Task Force in June of 2012. From <br />August 2012 through March of 2015, the Task Force met regularly to develop a <br />draft EPSP and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) reflective of the community's <br />priorities and values, and established the vision the community had for the future <br />of East Pleasanton. <br />• December 2014: The City Council voted to accept the final Draft EPSP and circulate <br />the Draft EIR for public review. <br />• June 2015: The City Council adopted resolution No. 15-766, directing staff and <br />the EPSP Task Force to stop work on the EPSP, and determining that future <br />consideration of whether to reinitiate the EPSP process would occur as part of the <br />City Council's priority setting process. <br />• March 2017: The City Council voted against prioritizing the EPSP process. <br />• June 201712018: Steelwave submitted a set of applications to develop a <br />combination to industrial and residential uses on the Steelwave Site. <br />• November 2018: The City encouraged Steelwave to suspend its industrial & <br />residential permit applications in order to restart the EPSP process along with <br />other EPSP property owners.
