From:
To: ennIRM oen
Subject: Housing Element - NO on Development at Mission & Valley Shopping Centers
Date: Friday, November 19, 20219:29:34 AM
Please be aware that the Mission & Valley Shopping Centers at Valley & Santa Rita
are a valuable resource for residents already living in this area. We rely on these
stores to provide us a valuable resource for hardware, food, pharmacy and health
needs.
Also, the displacement of small business owners seems ill advised in todays
economic environment. Hardship on small business owners is not going to be
alleviated by requiring them to incur expenses to relocate.
The Valley /Santa Rita intersection is already one of the busiest in the city. Adding
more housing will increase the congestion and make it more dangerous than it is
presently.
Why would we not consider putting these new developments in closer access to
public transportation such as BART or closer to the freeways for easier access?
Please DO NOT destroy our neighborhood with congestion and loss of resources
when there are other options to be considered which will be much more reasonable
for this development.
Thank You
LaVonne R.
