more preferred or favorable in the overall ranking of sites. Note that the list below reflects a
aeneralized order of preference, but due to the fact that the factors are more subjective in
nature. this should not be considered a strict ranking, and staff acknowledaes that adiustments
could be made based on other preferences, considerations or concerns:
• Sites within Hacienda Business Park:
o Site 29: Oracle
o Site 9: Metro580
o Site 7: Hacienda Terrace
o Site 5: Laborer Council
o Site 8. As such, and with a relatively small yield of units,
this site appears less suitable than the properties to the north of Pimlico Drive for
residential development.
• Sites 17 Mission Plaza and #18: Vallev Plaza — (67 units and 220 units. respectively) for a
total of 287 units): Each of these sites are filled with small businesses, many of which
have served the city for many years. These two centers are also more centrally located
within the city where local services and amenities within the center are needed. Based on
3 Since the prior agenda report was published, staff has heard affirmative interest from the Archdiocese and the Catholic
Community of Pleasanton (CCOP) regarding housing on the two church properties (St. Elizabeth Seton and St. Augustine
Church). Although, as noted below, staff has some reservations about the St. Augustine site, this support helps to elevate the St.
Elizabeth Seton site in consideration.
Housing Element Update Planning Commission
12 of 14
