CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 408 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF <br /> CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED <br /> AS ANNEXATION NO. 36, PLEASANTON-SUNOL <br /> ANNEX "E", TO THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> The City Council does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby make the following <br />findings: (a) On March 22, 1965, the Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton did pass and adopt Amended Resolution No. 65-51 giving <br />notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to <br />the City of Pleasanton. Said territory was designated as Annexa- <br />tion No. 36, Pleasanton-Sunol Annex 'Z", and did describe the <br />boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed. <br /> <br /> (b) Said Amended Resolution No. 65-51 contained a notice <br />of the time and place for the Council of the City of Pleasanton to <br />hear protests made by any person owning real property within the <br />territory proposed to be annexed. Said time of said hearing was <br />Znot less than fifteen nor more than sixty days from the date of <br />~passage of the Amended Resolution. <br /> <br /> (c) On May 3, 1965, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the <br />Council Chambers at the Women's Club Building, Southwest corner of <br />Vineyard and Regalia Avenues, of the City of Pleasanton, County of <br />Alameda, State of California, the said City Council did conduct a <br />public hearing and pass upon protests made, there being none. By <br />Resolution No. 65-78 the City Council determined that protests had <br />not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the pri- <br />vately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last <br />equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the <br />value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as <br />determined by said legislative body. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
