(3) Section 303(b) is amended to read as follows: "Section 303(b) Plan Checking Fees. At the time of submitting plans and specifications with the application for a building permit, a plan checking fee, in addition to the building permit fee, shall be paid to the City. The plan checking fee shall be equal to one-half of the building permit fee. EXCEPTIONS: A plan checking fee may be waived by the Building Official for the following: 1. A building or structure whose valuation is less than $5,000.00. 2. Alterations or repairs of a non-structural nature .' (4) Section 1601(a) is amended tO read as follows: "Section 1601(a) Fire Zones Defined. For the purposes of this Code, the entire City is hereby declared to be and is hereby established a Fire District and said Fire District shall be known and designated as Fire Zones One, Two and Three. Fire Zone One shall include the area bounded by Main Street, Division Street, a line parallel to and 250 feet westerly of the center line of Main Street and a line parallel to and 100 feet northerly of the centerline of Division Street. Fire Zone Two shall include the area bounded by the Arroyo, Del Valle, the Southern Pacific Company Railroad right- of-way, a line parallel to and 250 feet east of the centerline of Main Street and a line parallel to and 250 feet west of the centerline of Main Street excepting therefrom Fire Zone One. Fire Zone Three shall include all areas of the City now existing or included in future annexations, which are not included in either Fire Zone One or Two." (5) Section 1704o First sentence only is amended to read as follows: "Section 1704. Roof covering shall be fire-retardan except in Type V-N buildings, located in Fire Zone Three, housing Groups H, I or J occupancies, where it may be as specified in Section 3202(f)." b. Additions (1) Section 303(c) is hereby added to the Code to read as follows: "Section 303(c) InSpection Fees. A fee foL the inspection of any building or structure to be moved within or into the City shall be paid to the City prior to the issuance of any permit. Said fee shall be in addition to the building permit fee and shall be in the amount set forth in a fee schedule adopted by resolution of the City Council.~ c. Deletions (1) Section 201 is hereby deleted. (2) Section 202 paragraph (a) is hereby deleted° (3) Section 202 paragraph (b) is hereby deleted° (4) F~ection 202 paragraph (c) is hereby deleted. (5) Section 202 paragraph (f) the following clause is hereby deleted: "provided, however, that in the event of an unsafe building Section 202 shall apply". - 2 -
