CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NOo 525 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A UNIFORM BUILDING CODE~ REGULATING <br /> THE ERECTION~ CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR~ ALTERATION~ DEMOLITION, <br /> U <br /> MOVING AND USE OF BUILDINGS OR STR CTURES: PROVIDING FOR <br /> PERMITS~ FEES AND PENALTIES: ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES: <br /> AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 440 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES <br /> AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice has been duly given and published, and hear- <br /> ings held pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1 Government <br /> Code of the State of California, and no sufficient protest having <br /> been made and the best interest of the City of Pleasanton appear- <br /> ing to be served by adoption of this Uniform Building Code; <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />--- SECTION 1: ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE. There is <br /> hereby adopted by the City of Pleasanton that certain code kno~n <br /> as the Uniform Building Code, more particularly described be!o~I~, <br /> except such portions as are hereinafter amended, modified o~'~~ <br /> deleted, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as .fully <br /> as if set out at length herein, and the same shall becorl~e in full <br /> force and effect at the time this Ordinance becon~es effective. <br /> <br /> Said Uniform Building Code is the UNIFOR~ BUILDING CODE <br /> 1967 EDITION, VOLUME I and APPENDIX; and THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE <br /> STANDARDS 1967 EDITION~ VOLUME III as copyrighted in 1964 by the <br /> International Conference of Building Officials, a certified copy <br /> of which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS ~ MODIFICATIONS, ADDITIONS TO AND <br /> DELETIONS FROM THE ADOPTED CODE. <br /> <br /> The Adopted Code is hereby changed in the following respects. <br /> a. Amendments or Modifications° <br /> (1) Wherever in the Adopted Code the words Building <br /> Official are used they shall 'Lnean the Director of <br /> Public Works of the City of Fleasanton or his agent <br /> as defined in Section 3 of this Ordinance. <br /> <br /> (2) Section 303(a) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 303(a) Building Permit Fees. A fee for <br /> each building permit shall be paid to the City <br /> prior to issuance of the permit. Such fee shall <br /> be in the amount set forth in a fee schedule adopted <br /> by resolution of the City Council. Such fee shall <br /> be doubled where work for which a permit is re- <br /> quire~ by this Code is started or proceeded with <br /> p~'ior to obtaining said permit. The payment of <br /> such double fee shall not relieve any persons from <br /> fully complyi~g with the requirements of this Code <br /> in the execution of the work nor from any other <br /> penalties prescribed by Ordinance." <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
