the concrete work on the street was complete. Paseo Santa Cruz from Hansen
Drive to Corte Ponderosa was added to the resurfacing project. With the addition
of Paseo Santa Cruz to the resurfacing project came the requirement to repair
additional curb and gutter, sidewalk, and ADA ramps on the added street. (Paseo
Santa Cruz was scheduled for resurfacing in 2022. The street was brought
forward to 2021, with the intention of then resurfacing Independence Drive in
2022 after the Lund Ranch work is complete.)
In addition to the $65,677 in change order work charged to the contingency, the project
also included the removal of a large tree at 4429 Linda Way by the City's on-call
contractor, West Coast Arborists, Inc. Removal of the tree was deemed necessary due
to the extensive root pruning required to remove and replace an existing ADA ramp.
The cost of the tree removal was $2,260 as shown in Attachment 1.
Funding for this project totaled $910,500. Expenditures totaled $881,892, leaving a
project balance of $28,608. Staff recommends the remaining balance be returned to the
Streets CIP fund balance.
All the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Engineering and it
is recommended that the project be accepted as complete.
Submitted by:
<5 , r
Stephe rkpatrick
Director of Engineering
Fiscal Review:
l
Tina Olson
Director of Finance
Attachments:
1.
