THE CITY OF <br />"8 <br />" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />November 2, 2021 <br />Community Development <br />Planning Division <br />TITLE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH CASCADIA <br />CONSULTING GROUP TO INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY <br />$10,621 FOR ADDITIONAL WORK ON THE CLIMATE ACTION PLAN <br />(CAP) 2.0 AND TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT <br />SUMMARY <br />In December 2019, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a <br />Professional Services Agreement with Cascadia Consulting Group for $249,985 for <br />services related to the preparation of an updated Climate Action Plan (CAP 2.0). The <br />project began in early 2020. Due to COVID-19, the CAP 2.0 process was modified to <br />incorporate more digital/virtual engagement, and extended to accommodate a modified <br />outreach schedule. Staff is requesting approval of an amendment to Cascadia's <br />Professional Services Agreement to increase the total contract amount by $10,621, to <br />address the additional necessary work. This amendment will also update the term of the <br />agreement to March 31, 2022, reflecting the extended project schedule. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the Professional Services <br />Agreement with Cascadia to add $10,621 to the original amount of $249,985 (for a new <br />total contract amount of $260,606) for services related to the preparation of the Climate <br />Action Plan 2.0. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The current Capital Improvement Program includes $300,000 to fund the Climate Action <br />Plan update, CIP No. 18439. This existing. funding is sufficient to cover the additional <br />$10,621 in Cascadia contract costs. <br />
