RESOLUTION NO. 21-1248 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />APPROVING UPDATED POLICY FOR DISTRIBUTION OF EVENT TICKETS <br />WHEREAS, state regulation (2 Cal. Code of Regs. §18944.1) requires that the city have <br />a written policy regarding the distribution of city -provided tickets and passes given to public <br />officials that allow admission to facilities, events, shows or performances for entertainment, <br />amusement, recreation or similar purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the city adopted such a Policy for Distribution of Event Tickets by Res. 09- <br />326 describing the approved public purposes for such ticket and pass distribution; and <br />WHEREAS, that state regulation has since been amended and conforming updates to the <br />city's policy are proposed regarding who may use event tickets and the deadlines for publicly <br />reporting such distribution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council adopts the attached Policy for Distribution of Event Tickets <br />and directs the City Manager to implement such policy. <br />SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />SECTION 3.
