Las Positas Boulevard September 15,2021 Pleasanton, California Page 8 locations for all utilities and utility easements situated within the site at least four(4)working days before the start of our field investigation. • Some damage to the existing asphalt concrete pavement may occur during our subsurface investigation.We will take precautions to limit such damage, but we will not be responsible for the restoration of these areas except for backfilling the borings with cement grout and patching the upper approximately 6 inches of the borings with fast setting concrete (Quikrete). • The City of Pleasanton encroachment permit will not require us to saw cut,oversize,and patch the upper portion of bore holes located in paved areas.We assume our proposed patch of 6 inches of fast setting concrete will be acceptable. If this is not the case, additional fees will apply. • We will lay down Visqueen to contain our soil cuttings and will sweep the boring locations after completion. • We assume the City encroachment permit will allow us to drill borings in City streets between 9 AM and 3 PM. • This proposed investigation scope specifically excludes the assessment of environmental characteristics particularly those involving hazardous substances. • Our scope of services does not include construction observation and testing services. These services can be provided on a time and materials basis in accordance with our current fee schedule with the City as additions to the scope presented herein or we can submit amendment requests if/when these services are desired by the City. If any of these assumptions or conditions are not accurate or change during the project,the stated fee is subject to change. Please contact us immediately if you are aware of any inaccuracies in these assumptions and conditions, so we may revise the proposal or fee estimate. AUTHORIZATION If the above proposed scope of services meets with your agreement, please send us an authorization to proceed. LIMITATIONS The services provided by BSK Associates will be performed in accordance with generally accepted practices by reputable geotechnical engineers and geologists practicing in the project localities at this time using the degree of care ordinarily exercised under similar circumstances. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional opinions or recommendations provided under the terms of this agreement and included in this proposal.
