ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING UPDATED POLICY FOR DISTRIBUTION OF EVENT TICKETS WHEREAS, state regulation (2 Cal. Code of Regs. §18944.1) requires that the city have a written policy regarding the distribution of city-provided tickets and passes given to public officials that allow admission to facilities, events, shows or performances for entertainment, amusement, recreation or similar purposes; and WHEREAS, the city adopted such a Policy for Distribution of Event Tickets by Res. 09- 326 describing the approved public purposes for such ticket and pass distribution; and WHEREAS, that state regulation has since been amended and conforming updates to the city's policy are proposed regarding who may use event tickets and the deadlines for publicly reporting such distribution. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City Council adopts the attached Policy for Distribution of Event Tickets and directs the City Manager to implement such policy. SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. SECTION 3. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on October 5, 2021.
