1 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> October 5, 2021 <br /> City Attorney <br /> City Clerk <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: CONSIDER APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION TO UPDATE THE CITY'S <br /> POLICY FOR DISTRIBUTION OF EVENT TICKETS (RESOLUTION NO. 09- <br /> 326) TO REFLECT CHANGES IN STATE LAW <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has adopted regulations <br /> governing the distribution of event tickets to public officials. In response to the state <br /> regulation, the City adopted its Policy for Distribution of Event Tickets in 2009. In the <br /> intervening years, the FPPC has updated its regulation. A conforming amendment to <br /> the City policy is proposed to update who may receive tickets and the timing for public <br /> reporting. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve resolution adopting updated Policy for Distribution of Event Tickets <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> No affect. Existing staff will continue to distribute event tickets and publicly report as <br /> required by updated City policy and state regulation. <br />
