Councilmember Balch reported he was appointed as first Vice President of StopWaste's Energy <br /> Council. He reported attendance at the Lindskog Army Reserve Center building dedication. He <br /> congratulated Karen Diaz on her retirement and thanked her for service. He thanked staff for the hard <br /> work in getting the City Council Chambers ready for the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Arkin reported attendance at an Altamont Landfill meeting, an Altamont Landfill Open <br /> Space Committee meeting, a City Liaison meeting, and noted the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton <br /> Unified School District Liaison meeting will be held on September 30. Lastly, she reported attendance <br /> at a meeting held by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan. <br /> Mayor Brown reported letters have been written on behalf of the City trying to stand for local control and <br /> housing bills that allow local government to make decisions. She presented the Mayor's Report with the <br /> President of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council. She reported the Tri-Valley Transportation <br /> Commission is looking at a major increase based on their Nexus Study for roads and infrastructure. <br /> She advised many letters have been written in support of funding for Valley Link. <br /> ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION <br /> Councilmember Narum adjourned the regular meeting at 11:06 p.m., with a tribute to men and women <br /> serving in the military, honoring the memories of those who have died in defense of our country. <br /> 21. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR pursuant Govt.
