It may or
may not get printed, that Is up to them. But, I thought I would
share It with you for your consideration before you make your
recommendation on Wednesday night.
The Weekly tends to ask for back up and evidence, so I enclose the
back up information which I provided to the Weekly - Downtown
Sales Tax History since 1993, a 2009 map of downtown land uses -
(vast majority of which was already retail or restaurant except In In
undersized buildings and edge locations), and an article
describing how overbuilt retail is nationwide, as retail floor space
demand Is shrinking.
If ever there was a time to back off from in your face regulation,
this would be It.
Sincerely, Pete MacDonald
Peter MacDonald
- Main Street, =
Pleasanton, CA 94566
Distributed to City Council for the September 7, 2021, meeting Page 11
