How many vacancies are there in
total?
There are currently a total of nine vacancies within ground floor spaces along Main
Street. Of these nine, all have been vacant more than six months. A list of all nine
vacant spaces is identified in Table 2. A variety of factors have contributed to the
vacancies, including the COVID-19 pandemic, although the duration of the vacancy may
be principally attributed to the size of the tenant space or the configuration of the tenant
space.
To date, a total of two applications have been received and approved to make use of
the exception for extended vacancy under the AGFU policy (at 550 Main Street, Unit A2
and 350 Main Street, Unit A2). While it is unknown whether any or all of the vacant
spaces identified in Table 2 would similarly qualify, it is likely that many of them would
be eligible.
