Make any adjustments or repairs as necessary.
Once established, watering schedules should be reviewed and adjusted on a weekly to
monthly basis as needed to accommodate variations in rainfall and evapotranspiration
(loss of water by evaporation through plant leaves). During the summer, plantings
should be checked weekly to insure that optimum soil moisture exists. Hand watering
may be required to some planter-bowls in the most exposed(sun, wind) locations. See
Attachment VI I for irrigation controller locations and notes.
Weed Control, litter removal, spent flowers: Keep planter-bowls weed free at all times.
Litter and spent flowers should be removed no less than twice weekly from April 1 to
November 30, and no less than once weekly from December 1 to March 31.
Weeds that occur adjacent to the bowls as a result of bowl irrigation shall be controlled
by the contractor as part of this contract.
C.
