EXHIBIT A 4. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING Ourteam is committed to achieving the City of Pleasanton's goal and vision for reservoir cleanings, inspections, and repairs throughout the jurisdiction. The following section describes the proposed scope of work for the City of Pleasanton Operations Services District As-Needed Reservoir Inspection, Cleaning and Repairs. 4.1 . DEVELOPMENT, SUBMITTAL AND IMPLEMENTATION Our team will develop, submit and implement the following principal items for all City potable water storage facilities: • Safety Plan, Safe Practices Manual • Material and Equipment Storage Plan • Emergency Response Plan • Site Security Plan • De-Chlorination Procedure of Water Prior to Disposal Two weeks prior to mobilizing any equipment and material on-site, our team will provide a comprehensive plan for dichlorination and sediment filtration. Included in this plan, a detailed description of what equipment and estimated discharge pump flowrates will be provided to the City. The plan will include a monitoring schedule for dichlorination and shall measure the total chlorine residual with Hach 890 (or equivalent). Documentation of the monitoring will be conducted, held on-site available for inspection daily, and will be provided to the City at the end of the Project. • Filtration and Sediment Management Plan Prior to the commencement of work, our team will provide the City a detailed description of methodology for dichlorinating and filtering sediments from discharged water for approval. Our team will use 8M Ps to ensure that sediment is removed prior to discharge. Our team will ensure the monitoring and recordation of turbidity and pH is measured every is minutes at the beginning of the day and every hour thereafter. Document logs will be kept on-site and available for City inspection daily as well as provided at the end of the project. • Progress Schedule 4.2. TANK EVALUATION Ourteam will provide a detailed evaluation ofthe tank's interior,exposed exterior components,and accessories.
