PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> Ourteam is committed to achieving the City of Pleasanton's goal and vision for reservoir cleanings, inspections, <br /> and repairs throughout the jurisdiction. The following section describes the proposed scope of work for the <br /> City of Pleasanton Operations Services District As-Needed Reservoir Inspection, Cleaning and Repairs. <br /> 4.1 . DEVELOPMENT, SUBMITTAL AND IMPLEMENTATION <br /> Our team will develop, submit and implement the following principal items for all City potable water storage <br /> facilities: <br /> • Safety Plan, Safe Practices Manual <br /> • Material and Equipment Storage Plan <br /> • Emergency Response Plan <br /> • Site Security Plan <br /> • De-Chlorination Procedure of Water Prior to Disposal <br /> Two weeks prior to mobilizing any equipment and material on-site, our team will provide a <br /> comprehensive plan for dichlorination and sediment filtration. Included in this plan, a detailed <br /> description of what equipment and estimated discharge pump flowrates will be provided to the <br /> City. <br /> The plan will include a monitoring schedule for dichlorination and shall measure the total chlorine <br /> residual with Hach 890 (or equivalent). Documentation of the monitoring will be conducted, held <br /> on-site available for inspection daily, and will be provided to the City at the end of the Project. <br /> • Filtration and Sediment Management Plan <br /> Prior to the commencement of work, our team will provide the City a detailed description of <br /> methodology for dichlorinating and filtering sediments from discharged water for approval. Our <br /> team will use 8M Ps to ensure that sediment is removed prior to discharge. Our team will ensure <br /> the monitoring and recordation of turbidity and pH is measured every is minutes at the beginning <br /> of the day and every hour thereafter. Document logs will be kept on-site and available for City <br /> inspection daily as well as provided at the end of the project. <br /> • Progress Schedule <br /> 4.2. TANK EVALUATION <br /> Ourteam will provide a detailed evaluation ofthe tank's interior,exposed exterior components,and accessories. <br /> The evaluation includes inspection of the roof and other structural members of the tank and a safety and <br /> 6 RFP FOR RESERVOIR INSPECTION, CLEANING AND REPAIRS <br />
