THE CITY OF 4 <br /> rwmgai_, <br /> Kiwi ��_i 2121 IIII CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> September 21, 2021 <br /> Community Development Department <br /> Traffic Engineering <br /> TITLE: ADOPT RESOLUTIONS PROHIBITING PARKING OF VEHICLES OVER <br /> TWENTY FEET IN LENGTH ON QUARRY LANE AND SERPENTINE LANE <br /> AND DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF QUARRY LANE AND SERPENTINE <br /> LANE AS FOUR-HOUR LIMITED PARKING ZONES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff recommends no parking of vehicles over twenty feet in length on Quarry Lane and <br /> Serpentine Lane, to prevent oversize vehicles from parking on these two streets. <br /> Additionally, certain businesses along these streets require occasional overnight <br /> parking; to accommodate this need, staff also recommends two block faces be <br /> designated as four-hour limited parking zones. The Pleasanton Municipal Code requires <br /> the City Council adopt a resolution to implement any conditional use or limited-term <br /> parking. <br /> The parking restriction signs will be installed and effective upon City Council adopting <br /> the attached resolutions. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . Adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking of vehicles over twenty feet in <br /> length on Quarry Lane and Serpentine Lane. <br /> 2. Adopt the attached resolution designating portions of Quarry Lane and <br /> Serpentine Lane as four-hour limited parking zones. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no new financial impact associated with these changes. Costs associated with <br /> the manufacturing and installation of the necessary signage is included in the <br /> Operations Service Department's operating budget. <br />
