THE CITY OF 4
rwmgai_,
Kiwi _i 2121 IIII CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLEASANTON
September 21, 2021
Community Development Department
Traffic Engineering
TITLE: ADOPT RESOLUTIONS PROHIBITING PARKING OF VEHICLES OVER
TWENTY FEET IN LENGTH ON QUARRY LANE AND SERPENTINE LANE
AND DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF QUARRY LANE AND SERPENTINE
LANE AS FOUR-HOUR LIMITED PARKING ZONES
SUMMARY
Staff recommends no parking of vehicles over twenty feet in length on Quarry Lane and
Serpentine Lane, to prevent oversize vehicles from parking on these two streets.
Additionally, certain businesses along these streets require occasional overnight
parking; to accommodate this need, staff also recommends two block faces be
designated as four-hour limited parking zones. The Pleasanton Municipal Code requires
the City Council adopt a resolution to implement any conditional use or limited-term
parking.
The parking restriction signs will be installed and effective upon City Council adopting
the attached resolutions.
RECOMMENDATION
1 . Adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking of vehicles over twenty feet in
length on Quarry Lane and Serpentine Lane.
2. Adopt the attached resolution designating portions of Quarry Lane and
Serpentine Lane as four-hour limited parking zones.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There is no new financial impact associated with these changes. Costs associated with
the manufacturing and installation of the necessary signage is included in the
Operations Service Department's operating budget.
