Teen Poet Laureate poetry reading <br /> Councilmember Balch introduced Teen Poet Laureate Nikita Jayaprakash, a senior at Amador Valley <br /> High School. Ms. Jayaprakash recited the original work "Tell Me a Story". <br /> 18. Proclamation proclaiming June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month <br /> Councilmember Balch presented the proclamation to Deputy District Attorney Cheryl Poncini, Alameda <br /> County District Attorney's Office and Charmaine Brent, Ombudsman Program Manager for Alameda <br /> County, who accepted the proclamation. <br /> Ms. Poncini thanked City Council, staff, and the residents of Pleasanton on behalf of District Attorney <br /> Nancy O'Malley for recognizing June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month. Ms. Brent thanked City Council <br /> for bringing awareness to elder abuse. <br /> 19. Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda <br /> Saheli Thakkar spoke regarding the Bay Area chapter of BAPS Charities COVID relief efforts and <br /> encouraged residents to visit their website. <br /> Parth Patel spoke regarding the BAPS Charities Walkathon and encouraged participation in the BAPS <br /> Walkathon. <br /> Olivia Sanwong, Zone 7 Water Agency, spoke regarding Pleasanton's Urban Water Management Plan <br /> (UWMP) and believes there is an opportunity to discuss Pleasanton's RHNA allocation and water outside <br /> of the Housing Element discussion. <br /> Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 20. Public Hearing: Consider: (1) adoption of a resolution adopting a Mitigated Negative Declaration <br /> (MND); (2) introduction of an ordinance for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Rezoning to rezone <br /> the subject parcel from C-R (p) (Regional Commercial - peripheral sites) District to PUD-C-O <br /> (Planned Unit Development — Commercial-Office) District and a PUD Development Plan to <br /> construct up to three new multi-story research and development, office and laboratory buildings of <br /> approximately 381,000 square feet, a parking structure, and related site improvements over multiple <br /> phases; and (3) introduction of an ordinance approving Development Agreement to vest the <br /> entitlements for the PUD Rezoning and Development Plan at 1701 Springdale Avenue for 10x <br /> Genomics <br /> Senior Planner Eric Luchini reported the item includes applications for 10x Genomics at 1701 Springdale <br /> Avenue to rezone the property from Regional Commercial District to Planning and Development <br /> Commercial Office District, to establish a PUD Development Plan to construct up to three new multistory <br /> office, laboratory, and research and development buildings totaling approximately 381,00 square feet, <br /> parking structure and related site improvements over a multi-phase project, and to enter into a <br /> Development Agreement with the City to vest the entitlements for the project. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 3 of 10 June 15. 2021 <br />
