MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION/INFORMATION 8. Reports from Meetings Attended (e.g., Committee, Task Force, etc.) Commissioner Brown discussed his attendance at the Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Committee meeting in June. 9. Actions of the City Council Ms. Clark provided a brief overview of the items listed in the report. 10. Future Planning Calendar Ms. Clark gave a brief overview of future items for the Commission's review. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Allen inquired about survey input for the Housing Element Update. Ms. Clark stated approximately 300 responses had been received thus far. She stated an additional phase of outreach would begin including in person advertising, signage, and additional media coverage. She mentioned some refinements to the survey following a conversation with Commissioner Allen to maximize community input. ADJOURNMENT Chair Brown adjourned the meeting at 9:29 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Stefanie Ananthan Recording Secretary Planning Commission Minutes Page 10 of 10 July 14, 2021 s recommending approval of the Planned Unit Development (PUD-114-01M), Minor Subdivision (P20-0995), and Conditional Use Permit (P20-0994) to construct and operate the Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church within a 9,792-square-foot church and 24,971-square-foot multi-purpose building with gymnasium on a 4.3-acre portion of the 16-acre Pleasant View Church of Christ site, subject to Resolution and conditions of approval listed in Exhibits Al and A2, and forward the application to the City Council for public review and hearing. Commissioner Gaidos seconded the motion. ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES: Commissioners Allen, Brown, Gaidos, Nibert, and Pace NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Resolution PC-2021-11 recommending City Council approve the application for a major modification to Planned Unit Development (PUD-114) and minor subdivision for Cases PUD-114-01M and P20-0995 was adopted, as motioned. Resolution PC-2021-12 recommending City Council approve the application for a Conditional Use Permit for Case P20-0994 was adopted, as motioned. Chair Brown congratulated the applicant, stated this was a beautiful project in an appropriate location and acknowledged the level of collaboration both with the community and between the churches to create a special place within the community where they continue to give back to the community through all their work and outreach. Ms. Hagen discussed the 350-person number, which was chosen since it was above the largest projected congregation size, and parking requirements and use for larger events. She discussed the option to use of well water for landscaping. She presented a visual of the proposed tree removal due to conflict with the driveway and utility infrastructure and poor health. She discussed the undergrounding of utilities between the parking lot and right-of-way.
