I believe the location, design, and community benefit of this proposal is clearly in keeping with the City's guidelines and that this Church would be a significant contributor to the support of all citizens and businesses within our great City. Although there has been a long-standing presence of Greek -Americans living and working here, there will now be an even greater opportunity for Greek cultural expression through their renowned folk dance programs, annual Greek Festival, and other programs for all residents to enjoy. Similarly, I think it is the sign of a healthy and welcoming community to support all religious faiths, and it will give me a sense of pride to know that Pleasanton is the epicenter for the Greek Orthodox Church and all who wish to learn about the Orthodox faith within the Tri -Valley and San Ramon/Danville areas.
