WORSHIP and Multi -Purpose will not occur at same time. The characteristics of these events, outlined in the above table, are the same under all phases of the project. *Numbers are calculated based One Space for each 6 fixed seats or 1 space for each 60 square feet of floor area usable for seating if seats are not fixed Noise- The noise generated by the church activities will not exceed the required limits per the City Noise Ordinance. All amplified devices shall be within inside enclosed buildings and noise detected by neighboring properties will be insignificant. On Sundays during worship services there will be speakers inside the Church; no speakers will be installed outside on the buildings. Other clarifications: MPB will be used primarily for athletic/recreational practice and banquet/meeting events. Special Events are scheduled throughout the year utilizing the MPB. Most events are scheduled on Sundays, after normal Church services in the AM. In the case of athletic events (basketball and volleyball) the gym is largely used by the youth and adults of our own parish. In this context our youth participates in an Orthodox Youth League and tournaments and games are held rotationally across various Greek Orthodox churches in the Bay Area (San Francisco, Belmont, Oakland, and others). We would never anticipate having more than 200 persons attend these tournaments — well within the capacity of the gym and available on-site parking.
