Exhibit A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Environmental Services Division <br /> On-Site Recycled Water Services <br /> The City of Pleasanton currently has approximately 90 customer sites serviced with recycled water. <br /> Permitted recycled water uses include dedicated irrigation, decorative water features, surface cleaning, <br /> and one dual-plumbed building. The City seeks a contractor to provide as-needed professional services <br /> to perform the following services: <br /> Task 1. Annual inspection of current recycled water serviced sites(irrigation, including water features, <br /> and dual plumbing). <br /> Under general compliance with City requirements and direction, inspections will be conducted by an <br /> American Water Works Association (AWWA) certified Cross-Connection Control Specialist with a <br /> minimum of three years of experience in the performance of annual recycled water site inspections, and <br /> will include at a minimum: <br /> • Schedule and coordinate with the site's representative,the annual inspection. <br /> • Visual inspection of all backflow prevention assemblies(any necessary backflow <br /> testing is the responsibility of the site representative to coordinate with their own backflow <br /> tester),exposed piping, valves, pressure reducing valves, sprinklers, controllers, signs, labels, <br /> tags, and all points of connection. <br /> • Irrigation system assessment to check for excessive overspray, ponding, runoff, <br /> broken mains, and broken heads. During the annual inspection of any recycled water use site, <br /> it is anticipated that the site's representative will run the irrigation stations for up to two <br /> minutes coverage. <br /> • Conduct coverage test, either in full or audit specific sections of suspected concern. <br /> Running the irrigation stations for up to two minutes. <br /> • Prepare and provide the City with a punch list outlining items needing correction by the <br /> site representative, signed by the Contactor's AWWA certified inspector. <br /> • Provide follow up inspection: If requested, conduct a follow up inspection with site <br /> representative(s)to ensure all corrections are addressed. The follow up inspection should be <br /> scheduled within two weeks of the annual inspection unless other arrangements have been <br /> made with City staff and the site representative. <br /> Task 2.New site inspections for sites targeted for service conversion to recycled water irrigation& <br /> coverage testing. <br /> Under general direction from City staff, the Contractor will coordinate with the site landscape contractor <br /> and/or identified site supervisor to schedule a preliminary site inspection. Personnel performing this task <br /> shall be an AWWA certified Cross-Connection Specialist with a minimum of three years' <br /> experience. New site inspections will include: <br /> Wage <br />
