Exhibit A SCOPE OF SERVICES Environmental Services Division On-Site Recycled Water Services The City of Pleasanton currently has approximately 90 customer sites serviced with recycled water. Permitted recycled water uses include dedicated irrigation, decorative water features, surface cleaning, and one dual-plumbed building. The City seeks a contractor to provide as-needed professional services to perform the following services: Task 1. Annual inspection of current recycled water serviced sites(irrigation, including water features, and dual plumbing). Under general compliance with City requirements and direction, inspections will be conducted by an American Water Works Association (AWWA) certified Cross-Connection Control Specialist with a minimum of three years of experience in the performance of annual recycled water site inspections, and will include at a minimum: • Schedule and coordinate with the site's representative,the annual inspection. • Visual inspection of all backflow prevention assemblies(any necessary backflow testing is the responsibility of the site representative to coordinate with their own backflow tester),exposed piping, valves, pressure reducing valves, sprinklers, controllers, signs, labels, tags, and all points of connection. • Irrigation system assessment to check for excessive overspray, ponding, runoff, broken mains, and broken heads. During the annual inspection of any recycled water use site, it is anticipated that the site's representative will run the irrigation stations for up to two minutes coverage. • Conduct coverage test, either in full or audit specific sections of suspected concern. Running the irrigation stations for up to two minutes. • Prepare and provide the City with a punch list outlining items needing correction by the site representative, signed by the Contactor's AWWA certified inspector. • Provide follow up inspection: If requested, conduct a follow up inspection with site representative(s)to ensure all corrections are addressed. The follow up inspection should be scheduled within two weeks of the annual inspection unless other arrangements have been made with City staff and the site representative. Task 2.New site inspections for sites targeted for service conversion to recycled water irrigation& coverage testing. Under general direction from City staff, the Contractor will coordinate with the site landscape contractor and/or identified site supervisor to schedule a preliminary site inspection.
