ON
THE CITY OF
"M".. "'` CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
PLEASANTON.
July 20, 2021
Community Development
Traffic Engineering Division
TITLE: APPROVE INCREASE IN THE CONTRACT MAXIMUM FOR THE ON-CALL
CONSULTANT SERVICES WITH HEXAGON, TJKM AND FEHR AND
PEERS FROM $500,000 TO $700,000 (CUMULATIVE)
SUMMARY
The City of Pleasanton awarded on call consultant agreements to Hexagon, TJKM and
Fehr and Peers on August 16, 2017. The contracts are entering the fifth and final year
and the total expenditure is approaching the cumulative $500,000 maximum. An
increase in the aggregate maximum is necessary to continue to use the on-call services
for fiscal year 2021/22.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve an increase in the maximum contract aggregate for the on-call agreements
with Hexagon, TJKM and Fehr and Peers from $500,000 to $700,000 (cumulative).
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The increase in contract maximum does not require additional funding. Individual work
authorizations under the on-call transportation consultant contracts are typically funded
through developer contributions/reimbursement as traffic impact analysis (TIA) studies
become necessary. On occasion, the on-call consultants are used for City of
Pleasanton projects and this work is funded through Traffic Engineering's existing
professional services budget.
