THE CITY OF 11 <br /> 171=— ! � CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTOK <br /> June 15, 2021 <br /> Human Resources <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THIRD AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> AGREEMENT WITH BURKE, WILLIAMS & SORENSEN, LLP FOR LEGAL <br /> SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City requires specialized legal expertise for general advice, representation in <br /> administrative proceedings, investigations, and other legal work in the area of labor and <br /> employment on an as needed basis. Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP has such <br /> expertise. Therefore, staff is recommending a Third Amendment to the existing <br /> Professional Services Agreement to increase the maximum amount of the Agreement <br /> by $150,000 for the remaining term of the Agreement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to execute a Third Amendment to the Professional Services <br /> Agreement with Burke, Williams & Sorensen LLP. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The cost of this amendment is $150,000 over the term of the contract. This is included <br /> in the City Attorney's FY 2021/22 budget. <br />
