The new plan will need to address state- <br />mandated greenhouse gas emissions tracking and <br />reductions to 1990 levels by mandated timelines. <br />CMO/CDD No A <br />Underway A Request for Proposals for CAP 2.0 was issued in late <br />August 2019, with three firms submitting proposals. A <br />professional services agreement with Cascadia <br />Consulting was approved and project kick-off began in <br />January 2020. The City is currently reviewing the <br />existing conditions which includes current GHG <br />emissions and forecasting future emissions. Meetings of <br />the Energy and Environment Committee were been on <br />hold during COVID-19, but resumed in meetings held in <br />August and September to review draft background <br />documents and provide a recommendation to City <br />Council on proposed GHG Emission Reduction Targets <br />and Guiding Principles.
