Location and Notification Map STAFF RECOMMENDATION Approve Design Review Case No. P21-0136 based on the findings and subject to the draft conditions of approval in Exhibit A. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The applicant requests Design Review approval to modify the building fagade and new trash enclosure for the Chabad of the Tri -Valley (Chabad) site located at 3370 Hopyard Road. The design review submittal also includes design details to the previously approved playground, outdoor terraces, and landscape. The Zoning Administrator may refer any Design Review application to the Planning Commission for consideration, especially when a specific project proposes a significant design change from the existing building design. As proposed, staff recommends the Planning Commission find the proposed design changes and site modifications enhance the aesthetics of the building that is located along a major thoroughfare in the City and would be consistent with the previously approved conditional use permit and design review for the property. The proposed contemporary building facade is similar to those approved within the City in recent years such as Porky's Pizza, Specialty's and Lucky's Supermarket, all located on Hopyard Road.
