Staff recommends that the contingency amount for this project is set at 15 percent of <br /> the construction contract for the potential expansion of the project scope, which may <br /> occur due to differing site conditions, particularly when working within the wetwells <br /> where the hydrogen sulfide damage is significant. <br /> Staff recommends City Council award the construction contract to low bidder WestCal <br /> Design and Build, Inc.
