The balancing change order credited out allowance items completed by the City. The
contract included a $50,000 allowance for the contractor to procure FFE. The work was
primarily completed under separate contracts with the City's on-call vendors to ensure
the furnishings met the City's new furnishing standards. The City's on-call material
testing consultant was utilized for the material testing, as they were already performing
testing within the park on the recently completed concession stand project. This
arrangement reduced the cost of material testing for both projects.
ATI-AC Martin, the project architect, provided construction support services which
included reviewing shop drawings, providing responses to requests for information, and
weekly inspections. In addition, their subcontractors reviewed the electrical and HVAC
components.
Staff recommends acceptance of the project by City Council as the work by JPB
Designs, Inc. is now complete to the Director of Engineering's satisfaction.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved by:
j,k,/
Stephen Kirkpatrick Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Director of Engineering Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
