b) The experience of the applicant in the transportation <br /> of passengers. <br /> c) The educational background of the applicant. <br /> d) A concise history of his employment. <br /> e) Two (2) recent photographs (size 1-1/2"x 1-1/2") <br /> f) An application fee of $5.00 shall accompany each <br /> application for a driver~s permit. <br /> <br /> §14. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS. The Police Chief shall not issue <br />a permit and must revoke a permit theretofore granted: <br /> <br /> a) If the applicant is under 21 years of age. <br /> b) If the applicant has not resided within 15 miles of <br /> the City for thirty (30) days immediately prior to <br /> filing his application° <br /> c) If the applicant does not possess a valid Class 3 <br /> license issued by the State of California. <br /> d) If the applicant has been convicted of reckless driv- <br /> ing or driving while under the influence of intoxi- <br /> cating liquors or narcotics. <br /> e) If the applicant has been convicted of a felony or <br /> crime involving moral turpitude. <br /> f) If the applicant violates any provisions of this <br /> Ordinance. <br /> <br /> §15. ISSUANCE OF PERMIT. Upon satisfying the foregoing re- <br />quirements, and if it shall appear to the satisfaction of the <br />Police Chief, in his sole discretion, that the applicant is fit, <br />willing, and able to perform such duties expected of a driver <br />based upon his application, the Police Chief shall issue a driver~s <br />permit to the applicant which shall bear the name, address, age, <br />signature, and photograph of the applicant. <br /> <br /> §16. DISPLAY OF PERMIT. Every driver issued a permit under <br />this Ordinance shall post his driver ~s permit in such a place as <br />to be in full view of all passengers while such driver is operating <br />a taxicab. <br /> <br /> §17o TEMPORARY DRIVER'S PERMIT. The Police Chief may, in <br />his sole discretion, grant a temporary permit to drive or operate <br />a taxicab pending final action on any application for a permanent <br />driver~s permit as in this Ordinance provided for, but no such <br />temporary permit may be issued to any person who does not have a <br />chauffeur s license issued by the State of California. Said <br />temporary permit shall authorize the holder thereof to drive any <br />such vehicle for a period of thirty (30) days when the holder <br />thereof shall have such temporary permit in his immediate posses- <br />sion. <br /> <br /> §18. CHANGE OF EMPLOYMENT. If a driver changes his employ- <br />ment to a different owner, he shall within twenty-four (24) hours <br />thereafter notify the Police Chief for the purpose of having his <br />driver's permit changed so as to properly designate the name of <br />the new employer. <br /> <br /> <br />
