the abutting property owner. The operation of vehicles and the <br />conduct of drivers in a closed stand will be the same as that <br />required in an open stand, and as described above. <br /> <br /> §25. MANIFESTS. The driver of every taxicab shall keep a <br />separate Manifest of every service rendered as such driver, which <br />Manifest shall include the following information: <br /> <br /> a) Location where passengers entered vehicle. <br /> b) Time of entry. <br /> c) Location where passengers were discharged. <br /> d) Number of passengers. <br /> e) Amount of fare collected. <br /> <br />The owner of every such taxicab shall keep said Manifests <br />in his office files for a period of ninety (90) days after date of <br />service rendered, and the same shall at all convenient times be <br />open to examination by any authorized representative of the Police <br />Chief. The falsifying of any Manifest by an owner or by a driver <br />shall be grounds for revocation of the owner 's Certificate. <br /> <br /> §26. TAXICABS FROM OTHER MUNICIPALITIES. The driver of a <br />taxicab authorized to operate in any municipality other than the <br />City of Pleasanton may transport passengers from such municipality <br />to a destination within or beyond the City Limits of the City of <br />Pleasanton, provided that the driver of such taxicab shall not seek <br />or accept passengers within the City of Pleasanton except upon the <br />return trip to such other municipality, and shall accept only <br />passengers whose destination is directed to a point beyond the limil s <br />of the City of Pleasanton in the direction of the municipality from <br />which such taxicab came. <br /> <br /> §27. ENFORCING OFFICIAL. The Police Chief or his agents of <br />the City of Pleasanton is hereby given the authority and is <br />instructed to watch and observe the conduct of holders and drivers <br />operating under this Ordinance. Upon discovering a violation of <br />the provisions of the Ordinance, the Police Chief or his agents <br />shall report the same and initiate appropriate action. <br /> <br /> §28. PENALTIES. Any person violating any of the provisions <br />of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and <br />upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not to ex- <br />ceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the Count' <br />Jail for a term of not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such <br />fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br /> §29. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, in <br />accordance with the law. <br /> <br /> §30. PUBLICATION.
