11 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> February 2, 2021 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: PROVIDE POLICY DIRECTION ON CITY COUNCIL PRIORITY <br /> "CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE WITH REGIONAL AGENCIES ON <br /> STUDIES OF WATER SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES INCLUDING <br /> POTABLE REUSE", CIP No. 18151 FUNDING ALLOCATION OF <br /> $300,000 FOR TRI-VALLEY POTABLE REUSE STUDIES, AND <br /> AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO INFORM REGIONAL <br /> AGENCIES OF CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> SUMMARY <br /> At the request of City Council at its November 17, 2020 meeting, staff is bringing <br /> forward for discussion and direction City Council Priority "Continue to participate with <br /> regional agencies on studies of water supply alternatives including potable reuse" and <br /> associated funding ($300,000) budgeted in the City's Capital Improvement Program. <br /> Staff will provide background information on the Tri-Valley Water Liaison Committee <br /> efforts related to regional collaboration on water supply alternatives, next steps <br /> identified as part of the Joint Tri-Valley Potable Reuse Technical Feasibility Study <br /> adopted by City Council in May 2018, an update on regional collaborative efforts and <br /> water supply studies, and options for City Council's consideration. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Provide policy direction on City Council Priority "Continue to participate with regional <br /> agencies on studies of water supply alternatives including potable reuse" and CIP <br /> No.18151 for $300,000 for associated studies and authorize the City Manager to inform <br /> regional agencies of City Council action. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The potable reuse associated studies are funded in CIP No.18151 for $300,000. <br />
