1 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> December 15, 2020 <br /> This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom's <br /> Executive Orders N-25-20 COVID-19 pandemic protocols. <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> Vice Mayor Narum called the teleconferenced regular meeting of the City Council from various remote <br /> locations to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Pentin led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin, Testa, Vice Mayor Narum <br /> Absent: Mayor Thorne <br /> SPECIAL ITEM <br /> 1. Adopt a resolution declaring the results of the November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Brown/Testa to adopt and waive full reading of Resolution No. 20-1191 <br /> reciting the facts of the General Municipal Election held on November 3, 2020, declaring the <br /> results and such other matters as provided by law. Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin, Testa, Vice Mayor Narum <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Mayor Thorne <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Vice Mayor Narum shared an update on Mayor Thorne and noted he is home recovering from surgery <br /> for the next four to six weeks and relayed his gratitude for all of the cards he has received. She passed <br /> on his congratulations to the election winners and thanked Councilmember Pentin for his service. <br /> Vice Mayor Narum opened public comment. <br /> Congressman Eric Swalwell thanked Councilmember Pentin for his years of service to Pleasanton. He <br /> singled out his work with transportation and praised his ability to work with everyone. He also <br /> congratulated Mayor-elect Brown. <br /> Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley wished Mayor Thorne a speedy recovery, congratulated Mayor- <br /> elect Brown, and the new Councilmembers. He read a commendation issued to Councilmember Pentin <br /> thanking him for his service to Pleasanton, Alameda County, and California. <br /> State Senator Steve Glazer congratulated Councilmember Pentin for his service to the City and the <br /> entire region. <br /> Margene Rivara spoke glowingly of Councilmember Pentin and praised his service to Pleasanton, <br /> sharing stories of past civic accomplishments. <br />
